I am an appreciator of data visualization, especially infographics. Information Management has a great article entitled, “Data Visualization: 3 Questions for Passing the Eye Candy Test.” The money quote from the article is:

The three questions the authors suggest you ask when visualizing days are:
1)Is it straight forward and easy for the audience to understand?
2)Does it tell you a story?
3) Does the visualization provide guidance through visual clues for how it should be used?
